CHAPTER 1
There's this family, a normal family, with a father, a mother and four siblings (three boys and a girl), and like any family this one comes with its own problems. The girl, Dawn, has for a year now only been able to write about this teenage girl losing her family or having to go far away from it.
It's night-time and the family just finished having a usual supper, the brothers are obnoxiously loud and the parents are talking about their day. There's a knock on the door and as the father gets up to answer, the door flings open. All of a sudden a small group of men barge into the kitchen, shooting in the air and herding a corner; a few minutes later, everybody's sitting down, tied up, wrists and heels and frightened stiff. One of them sees Dawn and looks back at the other two, they nod, and he and another help drag her across to the facing corner. The one who first spotted Dawn makes her face the kitchen, grabs her head and forcefully open her eyes. Then, the massacre begins.
